Dear Parents of Dancers in Ballet 2B:

Your dancer is now in a Pre-Pointe class. I want you to know that I will work very closely with your daughter and her two precious feet. She will receive very individual and close attention from me.  For the next four or five years during the month of August I will evaluate the condition of her toes, arches, ankles and more. This is to avoid any future problems that your daughter's feet could develop.

In order to have the proper time with each student, I take care of this by appointment. This year I have set aside August 9th & 11th. Please, contact me, personally, by E-mail, or the studio or even on my cell phone 928-4347.  Also please, have your daughter wash her feet right before this appointment and to wear Flip Flops.

Another important note, since your dancer will be studying a new area of ballet and learning how to tie Pointe shoe ribbons, you will need to purchase them. We have the ribbons at the front office. The cost is $8.64 with tax.Please, have your daughter bring her ribbons with her for the first class. We will pin the ribbons into your daughter's shoes so you will know where to sew them if you wish to make them more secure.

We also have Stitch Kits available ($ 5.40w/tax). These kits include 2 needles and lots of very strong pink thread in a small case. It is also suggested that you buy some Fray Check to keep the ribbon ends from fraying. Fray Check is excellent also on runs in tights and pantyhose. Our charge is $4.32 w/tax.
