OPEN HOUSE/ REGISTRATION

SATURDAY, AUGUST 6, 2011 – 9A TO 2P

Early registration began July 5th. Students are also invited to enroll for classes in person and tour the studio during our open house on August 6th. The Dance Boutique will be open as well for all students to purchase dance wear and shoes. All classes are filled on a first-come first-served basis.  If you do not see your class listed during online registration, please let us know. It means the class is full and we'd like to put you on our waiting list. We will happily begin another class if there is enough interest.

Private Lessons:

Private Lessons are offered for $40 per hour. If you are interested in taking private lessons, please
contact the front office
to set up an appointment.
 

Birthday Parties:

Ballerina, Pop Star, Princess and Super-hero themed birthday parties are a very popular service of Creative Outlet. We provide the facility, entertainment and activities for the birthday boy or girl and 15 guests. The cost for a one-and-a-half hour party is $95.
 

The Dance Boutique:

Located in the front office, the Dance Boutique will be open from 3:30 to 5:30p, August 8th – 12th to help you with dancewear and shoes.

Ballet students in Level 2B through 4A need to make an appointment for foot evaluation before the first class. Call or e-mail the studio for appointment times.

Communications:

We must have your e-mail address on file as we are making an effort to take our business operations paperless. If we don't already have it, please send it today. Billing statements, studio announcements, and class cancelation notifications will be sent electronically beginning this season.  Also, please don't forget to add info@creativeoutletdance.com to your safe senders list.
 

Withdrawal Policy:

If a student wishes to withdraw from classes, please inform us in writing immediately so we can give a child on the waiting list a chance to dance. You will be responsible for the remaining trimester's tuition.

Absentee Policy:

Attendance is taken at each class. Good attendance is imperative, as absences and tardies can hold back an entire class. Our instructors cannot compromise our responsibilities to the rest of the class for the sake of one student.  Please make every effort to have your child at every class. Students may not miss more than four classes per trimester. Creative Outlet cannot refund accounts for classes missed, regardless of illness or other reason.

Dress Code:

All dancers are required to be dressed appropriately with their hair pulled back. T-shirts and shorts are not allowed.

Dropping Off and Picking Up Students

Please make sure students are on time for classes and picked up on time after class. We have a large waiting area and dressing room where students coming directly from school can dress, do homework, and wait for class to begin. The studio opens each day at 3pm. We cannot be responsible for children before that time or for any activity that goes on outside of the building. Parents and guardians are responsible for young children until class begins.

There is a large municipal parking lot behind our building if you need to park while picking up your child. Please do not stop in the driveway to wait for any reason.  If you do not see your child out front, drive around the block or park in the lot. A backed-up car line creates traffic congestion on Section Street and danger for our students. Also, the police have been known to give tickets for leaving cars unattended on Masonic Drive.
 

Visiting Classes

Generally, parents are not encouraged to watch classes as this disrupts the dancers' concentration. You are welcome to wait in the lobby while class is in session. We invite families to attend classes during November's Visitor's Week to view the children's progress.
 

Etiquette

Students of dance must exhibit characteristics conducive to learning the discipline of dance: concentration, focus, punctuality, respect for instructors and peers, social skills and a willingness to learn. Any student who chooses not to express positive behavior will be asked to seek dance training elsewhere. Please feel free to discuss any concerns with us. Registration Fees:

If you register in August, the yearly registration fee is included in the first month's tuition. Registering after September 1^st requires a non-refundable $25 registration fee

Costume Fees:

Costumes are ordered for students to perform in the annual Spring Recital. All costumes cost between $50 and $70 per class and will be due by Friday, December 16, 2011. We understand that this deadline hits right before the holidays. However, we are required to order costumes in December to ensure delivery before our recital dates. If you would like to start a payment plan to cover this fee before December, please speak to the front office assistant. This fee is non-refundable after January 15^th.
 

Pointe Shoe Fitting Fees:

First time on Pointe or first time in Gaynor Minden requires a $6.00 fitting fee.
